Brianna Weaver
Staff Attorney
Brianna J. Weaver, Esq. joined the Center for Elder Law & Justice as a Staff Attorney in October 2024. She directs civil legal services in PrideLaw and the Aging with Pride Program. PrideLaw provides free civil legal services to LGBTQI+ individuals in Western New York with the goal of improving health outcomes and quality of life within the local LGBTQI+ community.
Prior to joining CELJ, Brianna worked as a litigation associate in a private law firm where she represented clients in various practice areas including healthcare rights, COVID protections, and class action lawsuits with a focus on gender-based discrimination and discrimination in the criminal justice system. Earlier in her career, she worked in several legal clinics and the chambers of the Hon. Eugene M. Fahey, (Ret.) Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals. Brianna’s research has been published in the Buffalo Law Review, presented at Ignite Symposium, and included in the Steinberg Lecture Series in Psychiatry and the Law. Brianna is a recipient of the Golden Key Award for public service; and in 2021, she was honored by the Empire State Counsel Program for her pro bono contributions.
A native of Western New York, Brianna graduated summa cum laude from Saint Thomas Aquinas College, studied at Oxford University through the Oxford-Berkeley Exchange program, and earned her J.D. at Cornell Law School.
